Bio

Vernon Fiddler was born May 9, 1980 in Edmonton, Alberta. A free-agent signing by the Nashville Predators in the spring of 2002, Fiddler is a graduate of the WHL’s Kelowna Rockets where he spent four seasons with the team while splitting his fourth season with the Medicine Hat Tigers.

After finishing his junior career with Medicine Hat, the Edmonton, Alberta native joined the ECHL’s Arkansas Riverblades before joining the ECHL’s Roanoke Express the following year. Fiddler played 44 games with Roanoke scoring 27G and 55PTS before finishing the season in the AHL with the Norfolk Admirals.

Over the course the next two seasons, Fiddler spent the majority of his time in the AHL with Milwaukee, helping the club capture the 2004 Calder Cup title.

Fiddler would once again crack the Predator line up in 2005-06 as he would appear in 40 games. In 2006-07 he established himself as a full time NHL player, playing 72 games. He followed that up by playing 79 games last year.
