‘Mix of magic with a side of comedy’
Magic, comedy act to grace Slave Lake stage
His world-famous performance has been called everything from a “high-energy” blend of sophisticated magic and hilarious audience participation” to a “class act”. And now Edmonton’s Sheldon Casavant is returning to Slave Lake to mesmerize his audience – members of which just might become part of the act.
It’ll all happen next month – Saturday, Nov. 22 — as the Slave Lake Rotary club presents a fun-filled dinner and night out at the Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre.
Organizer Ali Mouallem says tickets are already selling fast for dinner, and Rotary president, Lenny Richer knows why.
“Sheldon was in our community four years ago and put on a great show,” Richer said last week.
“He provides a great mix of magic with a side of comedy; it’s a great combination for an enjoyable evening out.”
Tickets are just $75 apiece, and Mouallem says companies are reserving tables for what promises to be an evening of fantastic food and fun.
He adds that the club hopes that it will be within spitting distance of accomplishing its $400,000 goal for the library project by that time. So last, it was already making plans to use profits from this dinner for another worthwhile community project.
Tickets are available from Mouallem (780-805-6122) or Richer (780-805-5232), or any Rotary member.
