Help set a Guinness World Record!

All you need to do is read a book out loud to a child for approximately 30 minutes on January 23 or January 24, 2009.
Write down the name of the child you read to, the book you read, and your name and phone number. Fax, mail or drop off your entries before January 27th at Northern Lakes College- Community Reading Program.
The Guinness World Record for”Most Children Reading With an Adult Multiple Locations” is currently held by the U.S and Canada would like to change that. Martha Urquhart, with the Community Reading Program said, “I know Slave Lake can contribute greatly to this challenge, after all, we won the “Most Read Community” title for Northern Alberta Communities.”
This is the 2nd Annual Family Literacy Reading Challenge and in celebration of Family Literacy Day 2009, ABC Canada Literacy Foundation is encouraging all Canadians to participate in the attempt to break the Guinness World Record for “Most Children Reading with an Adult Multiple Location.”
The Slave Lake Boys and Girls Club and The Slave Lake Municipal Library are organizing special events to help break the record.
