Last Thursday, March 5, staff of the Slave Lake Dental Clinic presented a cheque for $10,000 to the Slave Lake Library board. The Dental Clinic staff raised the funds by dedicating one day’s dental work income for the new Library project.
“So far we have raised $1,985,000 in donations, grants and sponsorships,” says Librarian, Lori Herdzik, “and we will continue to take donations until we reach our goal of $2.3 million.”
All donors to the library project receive a tax receipt and donations from personal donors will be matched with the Community Spirit Program from the province.
The next fundraiser for the library is their Annual Murder Mystery Dinner Saturday, March 21 at the Sawridge Inn & Conference Centre.
