Fatal Motorcross Crash at Flat Top
On Wednesday, May 27, a Slave Lake male died after hitting a grooming tractor at the Flat Top dirt track.
In a press release, Slave Lake RCMP said the male was dirt biking at the Flat Top Motorcross Association dirt track located south of Slave Lake. The rider crested a hill as a grooming tractor was working the same area. The bike was airborne after cresting the hill and slid into the tractor after landing.
Police say the rider suffered chest injuries from hitting the tractor and succumbed to his injuries later at Slave Lake Hospital.
