“Beach Boot Camp is a fun supportive, non-competitive way to work out,” says Tasha Albert, Beach Boot Camp instructor. “We will be using the power of sand to increase the intensity of the exercises.”
Sand training, like pool plyometrics and other low impact methods, is a great way to get a workout without taxing your joints too much. It is up to each individual participant to monitor their own levels of ability, especially considering the added intensity of the sand.
“The classes are not the military boot camps that some people envision,” Albert went on to say. ” Participants will be encouraged to work harder, longer, faster and safer, at their own personal levels. Students see results from these classes but most importantly they have fun doing it.”
