Riverboat Daze Parade photo gallery
The Slave Lake Native Friendship Centre received the trophy for ‘Best Overall Float” at this year’s Riverboat Daze Parade Saturday, July 4.
Over 22 floats participated in the parade and hundreds of people lined the parade route to enjoy the festivities.
“Crowds were perhaps a bit higher than other years,” said Annie Aarts, Riverboat Daze organizer with The Slave Lake & District Chamber of Commerce, ”and the income from the midway was the highest it has been in 13 years.”
Some other ‘Riverboat Daze’ activities included music at Rennie Hall Plaza,The Toonie Village and Beach Volleyball at Jimmy’s Sports Bar.
