Old Library
If you want to make a “last visit” to the Slave Lake Municipal Library in its present location, you only have a few days left.
“We’ll be open regular hours again on Friday, December 11th.”
“We’re very excited to move into the new space,“said MacDonald, “and we will be happy to show people around. We also won’t be bringing in books from other libraries during the time we’re closed.”
The Library will be waiving all fines for books returned in the month of December.

The Library is the centre of a lot of programs and activities. This photo shows the Slave Lake Boys and Girls Club and the Library participating in the Guinness Book of World Record Reading Challenge January 23, 2009. Cst. Ray Tardiff was the reader for the five required Robert Munsch stories.
