Is Howie Mandel coming to Slave Lake?
No, last we heard he isn’t coming- but The Slave Lake Rotary Club is pretty excited about their version of DEAL OR NO DEAL to be held May 1 at the Sawridge Inn & Conderence Centre.
Event ticket holders will have the chance to win up to $10,000 in each of three DEAL or NO DEAL games.
The first two contestants will be randomly selected from all the ticket holders in attendance and the third contestant will be selected through a live auction process.
The general format of DEAL or NO DEAL involves a contestant, a banker (unseen in some versions of the show), a host who acts as Master of ceremonies for the game, a set of briefcases and models to open selected briefcases.
According to organizer Harry Bartlett, the Rotary event will have 3 contestants, a Master of Ceromonies, a banker (unseen) and 26 suitcases held by 26 models. Each contestant will have a chance to win up to $10,000.
Who will the MODELS be? Could it be this group of Beauty Pageants? And who will be the Rotary Club’s version of Howie Mandel?
Julie Seppola from the town office would make a good banker, we hear she is pretty good at crunching numbers!
To find out, you will have to buy one of the 300 tickets for the event which will also include a dinner and dance.
Tickets will be available by early February and will cost $75.00 each.
