FREE lunch hour fitness classes at Northern Lakes College

Every Tuesday and Thursday for six weeks, Northern Lakes College is offering a FREE lunch hour fitness program for staff, students and community members.

The FREE classes started January 19th but it is not too late to join says fitness instructor Tasha Albert.

The classes run from  12:10 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. and all equipment is supplied. All you need to bring is water and good workout shoes.

“The class is for all fitness levels from beginner to advanced, you pick the level you want to work at and modifications will be given.

“Each class will be a different format” said Tasha, “it’s called MIXED Bag. Mainly we will be working within a cardio sculpt (floor aerobic style with some weighted activities), however other class formats may include Fusion (Pilates, Yoga & fitness combined), kickboxing, boot camp, or resistance band and so on…

Tasha also reminds you to have your PAR-Q* filled out prior to class – go to www.tashaalbert.com and scroll down the page until you see the attachment for a PAR-Q.

*The physical activity readiness questionnaire (PAR-Q) is a self-screening tool that can be used by anyone who is planning to start an exercise program. It is often used by fitness trainers or coaches to determine the safety or possible risk of exercising for an individual based upon their answers to specific health history questions.

Tasha will be offering Fusion Fitness classes -nine weeks starting January 30 – March 27, 2010.

Information on these and other fitness classes - Boot Camp and Boot Camp Extreme can be found at www.tashaalbert.com. or call Tasha at 780 805-0460.
