Passport to Christmas
This "Shop Local Campaign" starts the same day as Light Up Slave Lake & Moonlight Madness and continues on into December. Merchants sign up with the Chamber and shoppers fill their passports to be eligible for weekly $100 prizes and a grand prize of $1350.00. This campaign has grown exponentially in the last three years, now keeping 750,000 in shopping dollars in town.

LIGHT UP SLAVE LAKE & SANTA PARADE
A celebration to recognize the start of the Holiday Season. Fifty-five 7' snowflakes are lit up along Main Street as well as a large Christmas Tree in front of the New Government Building. At the same time, the Santa Clause Parade starts at the Northwest Inn and proceeds down Main Street and ends at the Vanderwell Lodge. The merchants clebrate Moonlight Madness with most stores being open until midnight.

CHRISTMAS CRAFT SALE & FAMILY FUN DAY
The 17th Annual Christmas Craft Sale and Family Fun Day. The CRAFT SALE is the largest craft sale in Slave Lake with over 40 vendors from all over Alberta selling their products. The FAMILY FUN DAY involves numerous craft rooms, gingerbread cookies and houses, games and entertainment for families to celebrate Christmas. Children can also VISIT SANTA!
A FESTIVAL OF TREES' is also included in the weekend activities with individuals and businesses donating an artificial tree to be auctioned-off.
All proceeds from the event go to the FOOD BANK and SALVATION ARMY. This is one of Slave Lake's largest fundraisers for the Food Bank & Salvation Army.
The "Annual Christmas Craft Sale & Family Fun Day." is sponsored by the The Slave Lake Adult Education Committee in partnership with Northern Lakes College.
