KARE Mentorship Program
The Ambassador Project at EG Wahlstrom School is our most recent initiative. Based on the concept of “children helping children”, a group of twelve Grade 6 students will use their peer influence in a positive and resourceful way to help others. This pilot project will run from September/2008 to June/2009.
KARE and Random Acts of Kindness Week Feb 9 – 16/2009
Daily acts of kindness often go unrecognized. KARE encourages individuals, organizations and businesses to participate in the National Random Acts of Kindness week, and to become more aware of the importance of being kind to others throughout the year.
Bullying Awareness Week Nov 16 – 21/2008 “Stand Up! (to bullying)
Bullying is an issue that touches all people, directly or indirectly regardless of their age, gender, culture, religion or nationality. Bullying Awareness week is an opportunity for us to work together to prevent bullying in our community through education and awareness. During this week, KARE will be making presentations to Kindergarten to Grade 6 students in our Slave Lake Schools.
